A lot of you hardcore sports gaming fans out there know that Madden's license agreement with the NFL ends after the 2012-2013 season. For those of you who don't, let me fill you in...
Back in the year of 2004 EA Sports reached an agreement with the NFL in order to have exclusive rights to produce an NFL video game. This forced the NFL 2K franchise to disappear from the market for years to come. This left many people out there, including me, very angry. At the time of the agreement the NFL 2K football game was a much more polished and overall better football simulation. With EA having no competition facing them, they could make their football game franchise whichever way they wanted, and at whatever pace they felt. Throughout the past 5 years or so there have been many disgruntled fans that have come forward stating they want a better simulation experience.
